Judge Murphy is a life long resident of Yonkers. He has been happily married to Debbie Brill Murphy since 1970. They are the proud parents of three children, Jennifer, John Emmett III, and Katherine. They are also the proud grandparents of six grandchildren, Lucy, Atticus, Noah, Eamon, Michaela and Emmett.
